The Research Volunteers recently visited the London Scottish Regiment Museum for a private tour, led by Regimental Secretary Major Stuart Young TD. We were all very interested to learn the history of the Regiment and view the impressive collection of artefacts, many of which were from the First World War. The museum owns 3 Victoria Cross medals, and a highlight of the evening was the opportunity we all had to hold one. We finished with sandwiches in the bar alongside some Chelsea Pensioners, accompanied by the sounds of the Regiment’s pipes and drums band on their practice night.
