The Commonwealth War Graves Commission memorial is located on the outside north wall of St Michael’s Church, East Wickham and lists the names of those soldiers from both the First and Second World Wars who are buried in St Michael’s graveyard. Although some of the men buried were local men, it is thought that others would have died in the Royal Herbert Military Hospital in nearby Woolwich.
