1. Your personal data – what is it?

2. Who are we?
East Wickham and Welling War Memorial Trust is a registered charity whose objects are to:
- upkeep the East Wickham and Welling War Memorial housed in the parish church of St Michael, East Wickham;
- provide for the extraordinary repair, improvement or rebuilding of halls belonging to charities in East Wickham or Welling which are available for public use;
- further the work of any charity the objects of which include: the promotion of education of persons in East Wickham and Welling; the improvement of the conditions of life of people in East Wickham and Welling; such charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of East Wickham and Welling as the Trustees think fit.
Any personal data that we collect will only be in relation to the work we do to further the objects of our Charity.

8. Our website, Facebook and Instagram

8.3 Email Mailing List and Postal Mailing List
We keep an email mailing list and a postal mailing list, used to inform individuals about, or invite to, our Remembrance Festival and other events. Individuals will be removed from the mailing list at any time following a written request by the individual either by email to admin@ewt.org.uk, or by writing to the Charity at PO Box 628, Welling, Kent, DA16 2TF.
8.4 External Website Links & Third Parties
Although we only look to include quality, safe and relevant external links, users are advised to adopt a policy of caution before clicking any external web links mentioned on its website or other social media.
URL shortening is a technique used on the web to shorten URL’s (Uniform Resource Locators) to something substantially shorter. While we may have official profiles on social media platforms users are advised to verify authenticity of such profiles before engaging with, or sharing information with such profiles. We will never ask for user passwords or personal details on social media platforms. Users are advised to conduct themselves appropriately when engaging with us on social media.
There may be instances where our website features social sharing buttons, which help share web content directly from web pages to the respective social media platforms. You use social sharing buttons at your own discretion and accept that doing so may publish content to your social media profile feed or page. 8.6 Photographs
Photographs will be taken at the Remembrance Festival and other events which we hold, and may be posted on our website and / or social media, and we would therefore ask that you do not attend any such event if you do not want your photograph to be published. Should there be existing photographs of you to which you object, please let us know and we will remove them.
