In May 2013 a meeting was held at Central Library, Bexleyheath for anyone in the community who wanted to find out more about volunteering for the WElling WILL REMEMBER THEM project.
In addition to presentations by Nigel Betts (Chairman of the Trust) on the History of the Trust and Linda Clayton (Project Manager) on The Project, we were fortunate to have really interesting presentations by Dr Peter Catterall, Reader in History at the University of Westminster on The Home Front: Social Life and Total War and Simon McKeon, Manager of Bexley Local Studies on Bexley in the First World War.
