Earlier this year the Royal British Legion launched a national campaign to plant poppies across the UK during the centenary period, in commemoration of all those who lost their lives in the First World War.
Some of our Research Volunteers joined Hall Place Estate Manager Tony Nield and Bexley Museum Collections Manager Kirsty Maclen to plant poppies in the grounds of Hall Place. Visitors to the Hall Place gardens will be be able to see the poppies in flower over the next few weeks, in the walled nursery complex, open from 9am – 5pm daily. The gardens are free to visit.
